2U Maths: 46/50 (15%)
French Beginners: 28/30 (15%)
Chemistry: 27/40 (25%) ughhhhhhh
English Standard: 12/20 (15%) :(
Biology: tbd next year

IDK what to feel especially about Chemistry marks since it weighs the most out of all of my subjects. I'm being paranoid lol but is it still possible to achieve an ATAR of at least 90?? I've talked to my school's career adviser and she said I have to CONSISTENTLY be on my high 80s and low 90s throughout the whole year but my Maths teacher says otherwise.

Have any of you scored 60-70s on an assessment but still managed to get <90 ATAR???

Much appreciated x

French: 3/21
Chemistry: ~38/97
English: ~70/203

Thank you for your input! I did really bad in chem because of my lack of time management and I'm not really used to doing log books and open-ended investigations.. [emoji28]

Mate I got 68% in my sdd half yearly (scales terribly if you do horrible in it), got 81% in my business half yearly, got 50% on my ext 1 maths first assessment (came 2nd last). These were my worst results in year 12. I ended up achieving 85 in sdd, 40/50 for ext 1, 92 in business and got an atar of 93.6. Btw my school is ranked around 220 so don't sweat it, you'll be fine

Chillax fam. My first 2u exam I got like 70% and ranked like 30th in the grade. Then I told myself I needed to work harder and I ended up 2nd out of 60 kids at the end of the year. Moral of the story,
You can do it.

And lol to your careers advisor saying you need consistently high 80's and low 90's just to achieve an ATAR of 90 is not at all true. In 2U I got low 80's for 2 exams and got a hsc mark of 95. English lol was constant 80's on the dot for internal assessments but I got 90 hsc mark. Ur basically guaranteed 90 atar with your marks and ranks atm, but im guessing you want higher so just use these long ass holidays effectively to sharpen up on ur chem and eng and gg

My school also had a 25% weighted Chem assessment for Term 4 Exams and I can say that I know plenty of people who did not do so well (60-70s) in this exam that ended up in the Top 20 (of a 120 cohort) through working hard in these holidays and bouncing back (they will come hand in hand). Don't give up and instead think about what went wrong-address it and keep work efficiently :)
