Call me traditional, but I think the guy should always pay.

I think lots of girls are way too 'rah rah feminism' about it. Why shouldn't he pay? He's the GUY.

But women dont get the perks of equal rights.

Since men earn more than women, why shouldn't they pay?

What about in the not uncommon circumstance where the woman earns more than the guy?

ive never paid for a date, but i have offered.

that said, are you asking if we'd pay for the dinner, or if we'd get to the stage where we had to actually pay somebody to go out with us.

While it may not be uncommon (damn the double negative), its still a lot more common that the man earns more.

I still think the guy should pay. If the girl wants to pay, then I guess thats okay, but a guy should NEVER ASK a girl to pay. That's just rude.

Follow tradition and no-one will ever have a problem... except poor guys...

I always offer to pay but the guy normally does...

After the first date though I'll pay for him or whatever. It all pans out in the end really.

I do feel bad when he insists on paying and I know it's gonna cost a lot or he's really broke or whatever. But some guys feel that it's the right thing to do and feel more a man if they pay. It doesn't worry me.
