i have a folder of mp3's that i want to upload to sendspace or somewhere but after doing what i thought was compression its gone from 10MB to 99MB

help me! thanks

hmm, I knoe file recovery wouldn't bloat the file size to that extent, but try to turn off it off (or at least put it 2 1% of the archive). SFXs, Compression speeds (best, normal, store) can also bloat the file size. Use WinRAR ;)

thats cos mp3s are already compressed, u cant compress them any more
same with jpgs

i tried using winrar but something fucked up along the way.

so how does everyone else manage to upload their albums onto sendspace and shit WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

its still zips and rars...

but perhaps upload a bunch of them part by part? or maybe there's other files in the folder. :/ 99mb is somewhat reasonable though since just one mp3 could be 10mb.

The mp3 quality could be lowered a bit to have a lower file size using something like dbpoweramp?

Maybe use something like .tar that archives them into one file but doesn't try to compress them?

She's probably using rapidshare or something which requires it all be in one archive.

just use winrar, it compresses it decent enough and its free! most of the albums i download are archived then i just extract them into like 20 songs in a folder...duno what you are doing to fuck it up tho.
