trying to get used to the intensive attacking play provided

The crosses and corners never work. I find the only way to score is to go for a through ball and work for a break.

Very well in fact.
I just relied upon crosses for all my matches.

I found that 2001 was the case.

Yeah, I find crosses not too difficult... Most of the times.

But for corners, I've never managed to score an intended corner since Fifa '98 (only because I dropped Fifa and picked it up again once Fifa '06 came out).

coming from pes, my crosses never worked when i first started playing fifa because i was pressing cross running diagonally in, the ball just kept going out. Then I found out you have to be running perpendicular to the sideline, it works pretty well. then again thats maybe because i'm only playing on 'professional' difficulty.
