It's great to see that Good bye Lenin has a few fans. The way in which it juxtaposes old communism against new consumerism, the pathos of the son's efforts to comfort his mother and its nostalgic portrayal of the relics of the old communist way of life that was lost forever, makes the film simply brilliant.
