failing units for not sattending tutes (1 Viewer)

has anyone heard much of this actually happening, because i think i have missed a few.

i have heard some people say they can have a max of 2 or 3 off, i havne't heard anything else from some subjects though

uh i haven't been turning up to my tutes at all..

our names don't get marked off...

if there is a 'participation' mark for the unit, then i guess that would include attendance...

last semester (year) i think nearly 50 people failed comp224 cause they didnt turn up to compulsory tutes. it will say in the units studyguide if they are compulsory and if they are how many you have to turn up to (without a decent excuse like a medical certificate).

i think in accg100 you can't miss more than two or something, ocs then its an automatic fail.

yep cant miss more than two accg100 tutes , and i think you also have to get your hw checked at least 9 times?

tute attendence also influences borderline F/PC marks..

well he never checks the homework...but he does mark the roll....i'll say that i was sick or something :s

I "missed" two or three Accg100 tutes, and it was alright..

for us that meant this semester that you could miss 3 but not 4. I missed one i think

STAT171 isn't compulsory is it? I hope not cos i'm fucked if it is (only went to 1 this term). Unit outline says that we are required to attent 1 tutorial per week, but that doesn't mean we fail if we don't right? (Will they fail us even if we get an HD or D?)

Neh, Stat171 should be fine, altho if they count Tute homework marks, then it might cost you a little =p

last year I got soo rorted with homework.. but it all worked out
