aye mate i just got my trials back and i passed 3U for the FIRST time 50% coolz,
just stick with it, past papers with solutions ie. books like HSC success will help you understand how to answer the questions and thus get the marks in the exam i usually come 10th but i came 3rd in this exam....hope its not a fluke or anything..... :)

You sounded as if you did better than 115/120 David.
I did NOT get 115. Nian is relying on hearsay.
But what's it matter to you, or anyone here? ;)

If you don't find 3U hard, you will get more than 60%. Now stop worrying. :p

yep, you should get more than 60% if you don't find it hard...

if you want to get a good band six, you should get above 80%.
60% will probably get you a low band five

Yeah I reckon you should just stay and have a go at 3unit maths, it probably won't hurt you to keep the subject.

So what would something like 71% on the CSSA trial get me in the real thing? My school is ranked 269 (last years year 12 were very crap compared to our year), and I'm ranked 7th out of about 30 in 3unit. There's only one non 4 unit student ahead of me, the rest are our 4 unit freaks :) Anyway, reckon I could score 90 in 3unit maths? Because according to SAM and all that, if you're roughly in the top 27.8% or something you got 90 last year I think.
