No. Just wing it if you have to but there isn't any point in dropping it now. Stress from trials>stress from HSC, so yoou've done the hardest part anyway.
And as for your dropping question, you can drop at any moment before the last second before the Ext 1 exam.

uuuh... details?

rank, previous marks, 2u maths marks, units you're doing now, etc. i mean, without those, you might as well ask us to choose between bubububu/bebebebbebe.

1. it wont count
2. i got 20/84 for cssa trials :(
1. And you know this how?
2. CSSA is well known to be one of the harder math trials, you also must look at the facts that your HSC gets fiddled with but your trial results are raw, and you have more breathing space in the HSC than trials, so that means your HSC score will be higher than this.
3. This is how your marks are when you are being negative, they will only get better if you are more positive. So lighten up and give it a go!:)

why drop it? You're in a selective high school (sort of :p) your fellow students WILL pull your marks up. Don't worry about it.

hmm, 89/120 for cssa 2u. i'm not sure how hard 2005 cssa was, but that mark is decent... you should most definitely be getting higher marks in 3u (assuming you've put the same amount of effort in 2u and 3u).

judging from your marks, however, you probably hate 3u because you can't seem to get 80%+ in it (and you're comparing it to your 2u marks). 3u and 2u are no different scales, and should be treated differently.

i.e. don't drop it.

if last in your class in 2u is 89/120, i wouldn't be ashamed of being "last".

being asian, i'm guessing "saving face" is quite important... being last must've been quite humiliating for you, regardless of your mark. but who cares? in short - get over it and move on. decide on whether or not you're going to do 3u, and do it. the same with 2u.

actually it was, average was 108.6/120
then why are you crying about being last?

"last" in your case is obviously different than the norm. surely you must've realised that...

why drop it now?
its a bit late now isn't it?
i mean since you've already wasted almost a year on it... you might as well just go ahead and do the bloody hsc exam.
if it doesn't count..o wells
but its better knowing that you didn't waste all that knowledge.

plus things can always change...you'll improve by the hsc

man i did 4u maths before...i was doing okay at it but my 3u mark was suffering because i was totally concerntrating on my 4u work. now that ive dropped it, its like the best choice ive ever made in my high school life, if not my entire lifetime

do it if you think it'll help your 2u
