We’re Robbie Ferguson and Seamus Dove, and we’re teaming up to provide extensive and exceptional mentoring at all stages of cultivating your English Extension 2 Major Work. Having gone through this process ourselves, we know first hand how grueling it can be, and how useful a second set of eyes can be in maximising your potential.
ABOUT US
Robbie Ferguson (Class of 14’) is studying a double degree of Science and Law at University of Sydney. He received an ATAR of 99.95, and scored 50/50 for Ext 2. Seamus Dove (Class of 14’) is studying a double degree of Arts and Law at University of Sydney. He received an ATAR of 99.25, and scored 50/50 for Ext 2. Together we have 6 years of combined tutoring experience and four English state ranks between us. Seamus ranked 6th in NSW for English Extension 2 with poetry, and Robbie ranked 5th with prose, as well as 7th in English Advanced and 7th in English Extension 1.
We are incredibly passionate about English, and are careful with only taking on students whose work we know we can help with. We are invested in your success because we know that Major Works are often an intimate and personal piece, and we want to work with you in all aspects of it to make it the best possible reflection of your creative intent.
TUTORING
We are flexible with the type of tutoring we offer. However, because of the nature of Ext 2, we will need time to come onboard with any existing material you have written, and offer our best advice. Because of this, we offer full drafting services where we’ll work with you to review/edit/comment on your entire major work for a fixed fee. This process can happen multiple times, however we ask you to contact at least 10 days in advance of any deadline as it takes us significant time to go through your work with the standards we hold ourselves to. We solely offer online feedback, but are happy to make exceptions for face to face contact if we work with you for a considerable period of time.
