None. It clearly states this on the website for future applicants and such, if you were interested, surely you would have looked it up?

Which is nothing. MBBS at USYD doesn't have RPL as it's such an integrated course.
No..........you can always claim R.P.L.......it's a fundamental academic right.

As I said......approach unit co-ordinators and request R.P.L

I have, you idiot, I'm not talking about unit blurbs.

I think you'll find most medical courses in the country are like this, one of the reasons it's almost impossible to transfer from one medical course to another at a different uni

RPL for medicine is exceptional, but that doesn't mean impossible.

UWS Policy DDS - Advanced Standing and Recognition of Prior Learning Policy

The precedent exists.......therefore......try it.....there's no harm in applying/appealing for RPL.
hardly
Advanced Standing towards the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery

(9) In line with the policy of the Committee of Deans of Australian Medical Schools, applications for Advanced Standing towards the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery course will only be considered in very exceptional circumstances, by the Dean of the Medical School. Those exceptional circumstances are where a student in another Australian Medical Council (AMC) accredited medical course, in a State other than New South Wales, can present compelling compassionate grounds for a transfer to a medical school in New South Wales and can provide the written consent of the Dean of the School from which the student is wishing to transfer.

Some basic comprehension... READ THE THREAD FFS

if you do graduate medicine at sydney, what sort of exemptions do you get if you studied pharmacy from sydney.

thanks

They say no, as he already stated- course is too intergrated.
I'm sure the unit blurb overides the academic constitution.......

Now people read this through. My argument is that you can always request RPL....and that exemptions are anything that the faculty will sign.

To summarise for complete idiots:

1. RPL is what faculty agrees on.
2.You can always ask for RPL
3. You can appeal academic decision..i.e policy can and does get overturned in circumstances.

You can appeal any academic decision........it doesn't mean you will get the nod though,

they are not going to get it at usyd. a huge number of entrants come from such backgrounds and they are NOT granted the recognition.

look at the course structure for gods sake, it's pretty much impossible.

INTERGRATED COURSE.

I have talked with the faculty about issues such as this, also with that of other unis.

like neb said, admit to your mistakes.

you obviously do not know much about grad med programs.

go be an ignorant douche somewhere else, to stop leading the OP on.

You confuse my argument because you're confused and didn't read properly.

You can 'talk' with your faculty all day long about it. That's not the point. I am saying even if it seems impossible, there is a system to appeal academic decisions. I am pretty sure if you dig hard enough you can probably find someone who has been granted an exemption of some form in undergrad medicine at usyd at some point in history.

There is no valid argument.

Find me a case when someone doing grad med at USYD (as is specific to initial question) was granted PRL after completing a degree and going straight into the program, and not moving from another state. The I might listen to your arguments.
