not entirely, I can read some traditional characters just based on the shape itself. It probably depends on what characters you're reading, some just gets so complex it's just too difficult to guess it.phrred said:NTU is really good, id definitely recommend it out of the taiwanese unis
have u looked at beijing, fudan, tsinghua in China?
Im learning Chinese at UNSW. my mum from taiwan can very easily read the simplified texts but its hard for people learning simpified to read traditional
but my dad said traditional characters have more historical meanings in it. Plus, it might also help me with reading kangji since Japanese is my third language.
I've only looked at fudan. But not really interested.
