I have almost completed my half yearly exams. I studied, knew all my content and when i got in there... i know i have done badly. Is it a huge impact on your UAI if u do badly in 1/2 yearly exams?

it depends how much they are worth.

remember - your hsc mark = 50% school mark, 50% exam mark at the end of the year. but the school mark is scaled according to your exam mark. then these marks are scaled and then you get the uai. so it's hard to predict how one assessment will impact your uai

fuck'em.
sorry not to be more productive, but half yearlies are the devil.
I'm sure as long as you didn't get 0 it won't stop you entirely from getting good marks

What I learnt from Maths last year:
You can get a dead average mark in every exam before the trial. Then kill the trial and HSC and you can get a band 6.

depending on how solid your school is you can even get a mid band 6 if you do that...

everyone seems to have started they're half yearly's so early. Or maybe my school just started them really late. The first exams were on today and the last exams are on Thursday.

my last 1 was yesterday
got monday off

mine were all pretty crappy...except eng paper 1 (pretty good, + pretty prepared) & ipt (easy as hell)

- couldnt hear anything in eng listening (kept bouncin off d walls/floor cuz it was in the hall which is really big)
- didnt know my stuff for religion
- ditto for sac..more time needed (only bout 10 min)
- kinda ditto for maths, more time would've been betta (only 5-10 min & i would've been good)
- geo wasnt too bad...i guess

overall...i'll prolly get an average of 60%...mabey a bit more (70-ish%) if i went really well in ipt & eng paper 1...yea i fkd majorly most of mine up
