not the first on ive found but i just want to double check this one
anyway Q23 of the 2007 HSC gets you to draw ethyl hexanoate, when i dre mine i drew CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-COO-CH2-CH3
but when i checked the answer for the hexanoate part of the ester the answer had CH3-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-CH2-COO (ie 6 carbons and then the COO, making 7 carbons on a hexanoate) so just wanted to know, am i right or is the answer right?
