During my junior years of high school I've applied for many English tutors since English was one of my weakest subjects. There has been theories and such that English cannot be tutored properly and I agree; but there has to be somewhere which really helps. The only problem I have with English tutoring is that it is not as easy to judge like subjects such as Maths and the Sciences. So I would like to ask you guys which tutors you would recommend for English and why?

Also, I currently attend Matrix for English tuition and was rather impressed last term; however, the large amount of theory taught makes me doubtful of its effectiveness in improving my English results at school.
