im wondering whats the highest mark ppl can get for english(standard)? i heard it's impossible to get 90+ with this subject.

100% is the maximum mark anyone can get in any given subject. Whether this has been done before is another question.
Many people have achieved a UAI of 90.00+ with Standard English. One person last year in the whole state achieved a band 6 in Standard English.

yeah but those ppl who get 90+ only get low 90s right?
because they must of got like band 5 english? OR they were top of their school.

It's theoretically possible to get 97+ with a mediocre mark in English.

i dont know the exact stastistic but something like 0.000001 got a band 6 in standard eng, and like 1.2 got a band 5.

Don't worry, I got only 72 for standard english (low Band 4) yet I got 97+ UAI...

Just need band 6 for ther other 8 units

um if u really wanted your little badn 6 in eng then why didn't you do advanced considering both courses are all about techniques :\

Yes, because you would only have a maximum of 8 units counted towards your UAI and UAI needs 10 units...

you can still get a uai , just it won't be as good as you want it to be!

now i'm confused.. but don't worry i dunno whether I've failed english (pass mark 50 or 60 or 70?) or not but still i got an UAI !!

The point is just do your best, and/or cram for english. I can tell you I shat my pants for an entire year until I got an UAI. Good luck

you can still get a uai , just it won't be as good as you want it to be!

You must satisfactorily complete at least 2 units of HSC English in order to be eligible for a UAI.

It is not difficult to satisfactorily complete the course; less than 1% of students fail.

If you come top 5% in state, your marks will still be scaled decently

ie equiv to around 90-94 in adv english.

i'm still confused.. coz what if you fail all the englsih assessments? does that mean you cant get a uai?

but yu attempted those assessmets right ? if yu did .. don't forget that 50% of the school assessment marks count towards the hsc... its the na's that yu gotta worry about ?
if yur school assessment mark aint that good then i am assuming it will affect yur hsc marks thingo ?
