what were the sci fi questions?
Essay was something like: 'Science gains knowledge faster than society gains wisdom'. To what extent is this statement reflective of your understanding of progression in the science fiction genre.
Creative was an image of a science lab with a brain in a jar on the bench. There was 2 people working looking through microscopes.

i think essay was discussing the statetement "science advances faster than the development of society's wisdom" or something along those lines.
Creative was a picture of a lab room with microscopes and a floating brain on a table

mine was about overcoming racial prejudice in colonial India fml
But can the subaltern speak?

Also, what was up with the 'cafe angelique' poorly edited into the atb stimulus. I thought that was kind of weird.

Wait, you set your story in India? Isn't that a rather eccentric choice of setting (considering the British and European focus of Romanticism)?
Well India was under British control during the romantic period and I told the story from the perspective of Englishman working in the colonial administration. And since, Coleridge's Kubla Khan is set in Xanadu, and Shelley spends a quarter of Frankenstein in the North Pole lol (that being said my trials marker trashed my creative cause the setting was too, as you said, eccentric. But then my own teacher loved it so I was ???)

But can the subaltern speak?
In hindsight, I should have just gone full out post Colonialist and done the NTG module instead HAHA

Subaltern studies are legit the worst though. I am so glad I never have to read another word of spivak's disgusting prose ever again.

My two cents

I liked ATB: I felt the question for the creative will differentiate between those kids who rote learned and those who actually wrote it on the spot

Sci fi essay question seemed difficult at first but wasn't too hard to integrate --- it did not relate to Galaxy Quest at all though
Creative stimulus killed me
