Hello all,

This is my first thread!!

Anyway back to the thread question... So we have got our first round offers.

I got accepted into my first option; Industrial design in UNSW. Problem is, this was my first option cause it was placed wrongly by myself. What i would like to study is civil engineering.

Therefore, i have to change my preferences to civil engineering and wait for the next round.

I have two questions.

1. Is it likely i would get into engineering in UTS or UNSW (my uai was 85.85, enough for the UTS cut-off but below UNSW cut-off)

2. Secondly, which Uni should i go for? UTS, UNSW or USYD? Please don't start arguments , i just want a plain answer and a simple explaination.

Thanks in advance!!

UTS if your going for engineering, it has a good reputation for engineering :)

Go Usyd....better "allround experience" and better prestige that comes along with it.

engineering <> prestiage:jedi:
What musk said.

Unlike, say, Law (which depends on prestige and a good school with an expnsive library), engineering is purely technical. In the end; it will depend on the effort that a student puts in at any uni.

hey the university has chosen a normal current student to represent them.
it is by coincidence that i really do happen to love Sydney Uni, and I believe in their education and I love waking up and going to uni.
If i felt it was false, I wouldn't be saying what i'm saying.

i don't defame other universities,
firstly, because i'm not a smuck
and secondly, because I have no right to! I have no authority to compare universities. I'm only doing ONE engineering degree at ONE university.
i'm not going to defame something i have little/no idea about.

It's called "being genuine" and "minding my own business".
