Employer discrimination based on which UNI you did? (1 Viewer)

Hey there,

I just wanted to ask folks if they believe employers discriminate on the basis of WHERE applicants got their degree and if so, to what extent.

Im intending to become a public servant, that is, work in the government sector. Whats the govt's attitude on this? Do they care whether you got your Social Science degree at SYD or at UWS?

government doesn't care at all as long as u have a degree, it's the elitist top law or business firms that are snobbish. apparently some law firms prefer to hire only Usyd and UNSW graduates. and if u decide to apply to the big four accounting firms, they still ask in the application what UAI u got even though nobody else gives a fuck about it.
