I am currently studying the transformation of texts Emma / Clueless

I have an assessment that has asked me to pretend im Amy Heckerling,
"Why did i transform a text as opposed to creating an entirely new one."

I have nearly finished it but would love anyones ideas to assist in ensuring its really good haha

There could be a number of reasons e.g.
She may be a huge Jane Austen fan
She could be following the trend of recreating Austen movies e.g. Pride and Prejudice
She may have been asked to do it
And basic things like that. You just need to expand on them and add in the techniques and value seen as well.
