can anyone tell me....ive been playing the sax for ages now....(6 yrs) and i wanna take up a brass instrument ( prob trumpet) will this destroy my embouchure??
how many play a brass AND woodwind??

In response to your question, if you are serious in any way about pursuing a career in woodwind, dont even consider it. Screws around with your chops too much. If you are in music for a hobby/enjoyment, you may as well, but be advised that it will involve copious amounts of blistex and sore lips
(why anyone would want to play a brass instrument is beyond me....JOKES TIM YATES LOL)

vintage conn :rolleyes: either way, for only 6 years of playing, still being in highschool and thinking about picking up a brass instrument, $9500 on a saxophone is WAY too much... unless your SUPER rich and if you are.. i don't wanna hear about it lol :p

back on topic. i agree with Rob... totally different way of playing, it would mess you up too much... and hurt

okay okay...i bought gig bags, mouthpieces, a couple of diff ligatures and heaps of reeds at the same time!!!! :):)

Kielwerth SX90R black nickel ( this is the limited 75 series) when spending big, u might as well get everything u need!!!! :)

anyway nuf bout that.....its no biggy....
I have a vintage conn.....but anyone have one wit a lady on the bell???

my old trumpet teachers husband is an amazing jazz sax/ eupho player - so i spose its not imposible to play both woodwind and brass
