My enrolment was on the 22nd of Jan, 2014. I was not asked to pick any subjects, I'm doing pharmacy by the way.

The Bachelor of Pharmacy doesn't have any electives. The only time you will have a choice in your subjects is in your final year when you choose majors, and even then, your choices aren't that numerous.

Can you explain more? No electives? Does that mean we can't take other subjects?

it just means that most of your subjects are core subjects, so you get your subjects already chosen for you

So that means people doing pharmacy do not get to pick electives(not counting the ones included in the degree)?

Like I said, the only chance you'll get to elect anything of sorts is in fourth year, when you can choose to do the normal, honours, rural, international or industrial streams.
