Heyo,
Half yearlies tomorrow for IPT and we got told that every single one of the questions will be directly taken from the 2010-2014 HSC exams sections 1 and 2 so pretty lucky about that! But I got stuck on question 8 of the 2013 HSC:
8. A new EFTPOS method of payment for purchases requires customers to simply place an enabled credit card close to a terminal at the checkout. Which of these is used to transfer data from the credit card to the EFTPOS terminal?
(A) 3G
(B) Infrared
(C) NIC
(D) Radio
so straightaway when I saw this question I was looking for the NFC (near field communication) option, but no, it didn't show up. I then knew it wasn't 3G or Radio, so I went with Infrared. But the answer was NIC. Is this just a mistake on BOS part when it is supposed to say NFC or does NIC actually mean something?
