The effects of globalization on the international economy, described in topic one are changes in the composition and volumes of:

- World Trade
- Financial Flows
- Transnational Corporations, i.e. how businesses conduct business in the less-regulated global economy
- Migration
- International Division of Labour, i.e. the trends of the short supply, yet high demand of professionals labour worlwide.

The above are covered under "International Economic Integration" part of the 'The Global Economy'.

Personally, I found most of this in heaps of depth in Tim Riley's book. Look through Chapter 1.

Thanks guys, but you know in the syllabus under "Globalisation and economic development"? There's another dot point called "effects of globalisation" I'm Quite confused. Like riley doesn't give it proper :(

Oh, I might be completely and utterly wrong in my interpretation, but I understood it to mean "Effects of Globalisation on Economic Development", as that whole section of the Global Economy syllabus refers to the new nature of economic growth and development in the globalized economy. I'm not sure if that is correct, I suppose you could just wait until Wednesday then ask your teacher.
