"Pearls" are actually just cooked bits of tapioca...
But honestly, you're better off not knowing what it really is... before you've actually tried it...
Just think of potatoes..
They're nothing like potatoes. They're just carbs, but argh, it's hard to explain =D. I'll go with you to some Easyway place and break your easyway virginity, Tamara <3.

=) I know what you're talking about. They make those weird cookie-ish, pastry-ish pockets and fill them with custard.

They're like cookie puffs, and they're near that place with the cool coloured lights at night. =)

It's not worth it, but then again, I'm not much of a snack/confectionery person.

Lol, it wasn't too bad. =)

Okay, I lied. It was prettty bad. I stupidly got the banana pearl milk tea and it tasted like some sort of powdered laxative shake.

I like the fig jelly drink. Used to like taro + pearls a lot, but not anymore.. :'(
I like pearl milk tea too (the original).

Simple can be good, just like how some people can be happier the simpler their minds are, the lesser they think. ^_____^

well considering youre buying from those vendors, then i question the quality of it
they also have proper teahouses, where the price of milk tea equates to roughly the same here

Happy Cup's not too bad when it's cool/cold.
Or when it's warm and watermelon flavoured.
