What type of marks/ranks would I need in order to get over 56.05?
Well, my brother got 50%, and he got it pretty easily without any study whatsoever.

AND write your student number. That should secure it. :)
Nah thats a bit too generous cause if that was the case the uai would be <30 ;)

there's a UAI calculator that estimates what you might get based on the marks you enter. Just google it

No idea about specific marks
But if you can do better overall (after scaling) than just over 56% of HSC students then yes you will get 56.05
So yeah maybe kill the 43.95% of students who will rank above the rest.. and then a UAI of 100 is the new 56.05

Based on the 'Report on the Scaling of the 2006 NSW Higher School Certificate' - downloadable from the UAC website:

71.9% of UAI Students get over 50.00 UAI :)

...yes the UAI is a rank, but it also takes into account Year 10 SC people, so yeah.
You'll be fine.

I often use this statistic to comfort me knowing that im in that 71.9% (i think)

LOL

are you kidding me? i wouldn't have to work at all from now to hsc time if i only wanted a 56.05

and high uai does not equal successful life. good career = successful life. of course, a good career may come from a good uai but just because you know how to study your arse off and get 100% in 4 unit maths it does not mean you will have a successful career.

p.s. rebekkie what are you doing up so early in the morning!?!?!??!
