Hi Guys, I'm currently in year 12 studying at Kingsgrove High School, Sydney.
I am interested in doing the eBusiness course at Macquarie uni.

I'm interested in opening up my own E-business in the future, would this be the course for me ? Also what other job opportunities would this course open up ?

I am interested to know if anybody does this course and if they could tell me a little about it.I also would like to know if this is a pure ' business ' course, or is it more of an computer programming course html & c++ etc.

If you think this course isn't the right course for me, do you have any recommendations ? b commerce ? maybe, i'm not sure.

Thanks in advanced.

Simon.

The ebusiness course has 3 programs of study - see here - http://www.handbook.mq.edu.au/degree.php?edition=2008&id=21062 you get o choose one. Now, seeing that you're interested in Business, you'll probably be interested in the "Management" program.

Here is the list of units that need to be completed in the Managment program - http://www.handbook.mq.edu.au/programofstudy.php?edition=2008&code=EBUS03 read this page and see if you're still interested. As you can see, it's kinda balance. Kinda. It looks like the only commercey subjects you'll be doing are accounting, marketing and a range of business units.

Oh, if you're wondering, COMP115 and COMP125 is basically learning C++

You're going to need to learn the basics of web-technologies/languages if you're going to do some e-business stuff, unless you've got a lot of money to hire code monkeys!

Most programmers will charge quite a lot to do programming if its an outsourced thing.

Many of computer based languages aren't that difficult, I think the hardest part is figuring out how to 'think' in the logic of the language.

Good luck!
