Qadaffi led a coup d'etat as a military officer he didn't get elected any more then Stalin or Pinochet did. Go to Dubai and try and publish something criticizing the ruling family see how long Dubai's civil rights protect you.

No problem with them at all, which is why saying something bad about a religion isn't racist

You could make a case for hinduism since it's inseparably linked with India but not religions that actively seek to convert people of all cultures

They mis apply the word "racism", but that doesn't take away from what they are trying to say.

I have no problem with people ripping on islam. Im actually very critical of it. I object to the extreme views being posted by people who dont realise when a joke is old and boring. Im sure as a libertarian you yourself would disagree with extreme proposals like banning the quaran which restricts individual liberty, no?

Of course I disagree with banning it, but going into a thread saying "yeah, guys, I support freedom of speech" would've been largely redundant given I've said that 1000000 times in the last couple of weeks.

That's an unfair comparison because the aboriginals were useless. They slept in the dirt because they didn't have houses and when food got low during the year some of them just starved because they didn't have agriculture.

how does their accommodation affect your life?

Turkey is a democratic, secular, unitary, constitutional republic. Even the laws there are not muslim laws. You've provided really weak examples to support your theory.

Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey believed Islam is associated with Backwardness. He banned headscarf, he banned Arabic alphabet and replaced with latin alphabet. He removed islamic Caliphate (which now Osama tried to restore).

Banning this book of violence would be a step forward to save billions of muslim soul.

A few things.

Please stop littering the thread with abuse. Just because someone has a different idea to you, does not mean the person is stupid. Learn to hear them out, find flaws in their arguments, analyse their evidence and try to make a discussion. Together you can grow in your debating skills, and may come to some sort of agreement (which has happened in the past).

If you repeat your abusive/content free posts, I will certainly take action against you.

I am open to racial criticism, so long as it is clear, thoughtful and justified. Yes, it is possible. If you feel a person is criticising a race without any justification, please report the post and let me know rather than call them names and make my job harder.

Also, do not make statements (especially ones that are of a particularly controversial topic).

Lastly, and rather lightly, your moderator is not of anglo-saxon background and is a child of migrant parents. Do not offend her.

oh .........reading about aborigines, makes me think about all the disease and germs and other foreign agents brought in by the colonials. The aboriginals didnt have a solution for such problems and thus died in their thousands.

Even today, if you open up and listen to an elder or something, they will tell you how they used to live. They were at one with nature and it provided endless solutions for them. They could go for days and weeks solely on their amazing tracking abilities and the ability to almost sense the presence of water and nourishment throughout THEIR land. You dont need big buildings and mansions to prove the intellect and eligibilty of your race or ethnicity.

Aboriginals were compared to the British... the idea being that since Aboriginals were the majority they were better.

British people had houses - Aboriginals slept in the dirt and in caves.
British used agriculture to prevent starving - Aboriginals often ran out of food sources and because they had no agriculture they just let people die.
British had ships - Aboriginals had canoes
Guns - Spears
etc

I disagree. Everyone does not have an equal right to life. Some people are better than others.

But they wouldn't have houses. Could potentially starve to death. No access to medicine at all. Much shorter life spans.

They were manipulated into accepting alcohol, etc from the European settlers. They were told that it was a "magical drink" or whatever. It has happened to various indigenous cultures around the world, inluding native american peoples. They had no knowledge of white europeans and their customs, they were dying in their thousands as they were massacred, poisoned and became diseased, and their elders were dying. They had no idea what they were doing. It is not their fault.
