its a thing thing...
i reckon coz law is hard as course already, but the people who get into these law courses only need a uai of 91.00 and they are not necessarily smart as in USYD smart but not dumb as well. becoz of the low cutoff , people who are not as "USYD smart" cannot handle the intense studying required by law courses and hence drop out?
this is just my gay theory, plz dont start to crucify me, if u think about it...it really does make sense......UOW law is 91.00 wheras USYD law is 99.60
maybe if the uai cut off was increased..."smarter" people would get into the course, thus allowing for a greater retention rate.
(i know im being hypocritical here as im doin UOW law too...but i think my argument is quite justified)
