Okay.

So downloading large files via Firefox shits me.

If my wireless drops out for a second, it looses the connection, Firefox does its cunty "All files have finished downloading", and you only have an incomplete file that doesnt work and cant be opened.

When you redownload, it starts from the beginning! :burn:
Why doesnt it just pick up where it left off?
Ive already wasted 300mb+ and still have no GTA2

Any suggestions? extensions? gay?

use FlashGet on PC or Speed Download 4 on OSX. both are perfect for if connection drops out.

and there's no way to continue on your files now too. firefox is a bit of a cunt when it comes to downloads in general.

there is an option in wget that lets you pick up a download where it left off. i also find that wget tends to download faster than firefox for some reason.

dunno if there is a windows equivalent of wget. there should be.

Haha yeh I downloaded GTA2 too, it runs super-fast without the frame rate limiter enabled.

EDIT:

Went over the limit on day 1, rang up bigpond and asked to get uncapped. LOL This is not mine btw.

Yeh it's not me, it's a friend of a friend But seriously this guy downloaded more than 1 Tera Byte, which would've overwrite my hard disk 10 times over lol.

I dunno, Bigpond IS the most expensive ISP but some people actually take advantage of them. So I guess it evens out lol.

I would say it's photoshopped. Use DAP though, why be a noob and use flashget? Lol! DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) owns every other d/l program. (You can even use proxies, and also multiple d/l from multiple proxies)
