Wait a sec, you did the exact same thing by guessing the principal's motivation.

Also, there is nothing wrong with people having opinions with a situation like this and assuming that it is has occurred the way the OP says.
Appeal to hypocrisy is a flawed and illogical attempt to try and form some dim witted argument for yourself.

Basically, without knowing the intentions and situation of the person and school, saying anything, or drawing any conclusions is stupid, and only harmful to the reputation of the school. If some decisive action is taken, then it should be brought to attention, but others, opinions based on a rickety claim are of no good.

the principle should use it as publicity for the school.

"If she can get an atar of 70.00, imagine what we can do with your kids!"

or pull his head in an realise that not everyone has full mental capabilities.
