Hi,
Are there any benefits in doing honours subjects as opposed to the normal subjects, when I have no plan to do an honours year?
The honours subjects I'm talking about are things like ACCT3573 (as opposed to ACCT3563), ACCT3718 (as opposed to ACCT3708), and so on.
I'm doing accounting.

Has anyone done this before?
What extra things do you do with the honours subjects?

Thanks.

i dont think it adds any extra years onto your degree. it just means that you graduate with honors and its within the same time frame as your normal undergraduate degree.

though if i were you, i would check the handbook

handbook for accounting honours said:
Plan Outline
Honours level work may be undertaken either within the three-year pass program or as part of the four-year Honours program. The main purpose is to provide additional disciplinary training to that provided in the pass courses and an introduction to research training by an exposure to a range of research questions within the discipline....
like i said earlier. you can do it within a normal undergraduate degree. its just that you will be doing honours subjects instead of the pass subjects.
