has anyone tried this? does it work?

i've heard that you only get tired the day after you finally go to sleep,

so with some coffee and extreme studying this might work?

you might feel alert but your concentration and focus might fail

I doubt it....sleep is a much better option...
caffeine bad for you..
physically....your body NEEDS to sleep
and apprently you attain little knowledge cramming

my advice: DONT DO IT!!!

i did it for english modules in the trials and i had 2 red bulls and a coffee to keep me going. the next morning i knew my essays n stuff but when i got in the exam i felt like complete shit and i couldnt write out the essays i had spent all night learning because i seriously felt like i was going to be sick.

My marks for that exam were well below my usual.

thats the only time ive done it and im never going to do it again!

Yeah, it works. For me anyway. Just get some concentrated coffee, study all night and have a little snooze / meditate for a while before going to school. Although, during the night, if you feel your concentration level dropping significantly, go to bed immediately.

I've done it a few times for assessments (late nights: 2-3am) but never an all-nighter. And I'm pretty dodgy the day after. I'm good until about 3pm and then I just shut down.

when preparing for the trials i was sleeping at about 10pm and getting up at 4am to study... but not on the day of the exam... it worked really well.. no 1 was on msn and nothing on tv ... and because i was awake i couldnt get back to sleep after having something to eat so you end up doing alot of work. id sleep again at 8am-11am and then get back up an study more... its amazing how much my brain retained.. i also did this in the 3 week break before the hsc... however now my sleeping patterns are back 2 normal

I just did it for english paper 2. "All nighters" are overrated. If you've got something to do and concenrate on you can keep yourself awake for as long as you want. If you're a crammer, sleeping is not your style.

I'm still awake right now, I've been cramming for religion all night. It's ok though cause it's an afternoon exam.
