does the school find out our ATAR? (1 Viewer)

Wouldn't it be fairly easy to work out someone's ATAR simply by knowing their HSC marks for individual subjects?

Schools get all the same marks that you do - moderated assessment mark, HSC exam mark and final HSC mark.

Schools do NOT get your ATAR and you have the right to refuse to tell them.

My school would basically used the above 3 to make an estimate and then the sudent themselves would confirm it at the Year 11/12 End of Year BBQ

Don't be such a downer, it may be harder but if you're doing what you're into it's so much better than high school.

Tbh, not so much of a shock for top students - most just go at the same pace (ie. working hard). In fact some people I know chill out and are even more relaxed while continuing to do well.
