I needed 84.6 for Science/Arts and got 85.5, plus the possibility of bonus points (flexible entry). Does this mean I'm automatically in? Science/Arts at Sydney is my first preference.

No - because you don't know what the cut-off is going to be this year. The cut-off you are looking at is last year's and it can change. It could go up a little or a lot, down a little or a lot or stay the same.

You will probably be ok but you can't say for sure until the new cut-offs are determined and that won't be done until the first round offers are made.

Keep into account that this is no guarantee. Adjusting the allowable spots in a course it up to the university to decide and I wouldn't bank on it decreasing this year.
