What if they're not sure experiments can make things happen which are predicted but the explaination of how that happened is made up a theory. Clearly you dont believe in love or happiness or sadness or any emotion for that matter. You CAN'T give proof of those feelings you just have to take peoples word for it. Read the bible, pray a few times, see gods work and then get back to me.

HAHA. YOU, on the same card, cant give proof that god exists! Your just as bad! but you see, we have evidence, supporting our claims. We can prove that WW2 ended on the 7th of may, 1945. You cant prove that Jesus actually did the things he did. So, WW2 is a theory is it... Okay then. You need God, clearly. Your much more stupid than i anticipated.

You cant prove that God exists. Your Bible is not proof. Read the start of the article.

The claim here is that the religious text (Bible, Quran, etc) proves that God exists. This argument makes the fallacy of begging the question (or circular reasoning). When the argument is set out clearly this becomes obvious:

You cannot use the conclusion you are trying to prove (that God exists) as one of your premises. The premise “the Bible is the word of God” already assumes the truth of the conclusion.

Although a possible troll, you can't just say that something being unexplainable (currently that is, it might be explained later) means that it's a miracle and God did it.

We all know the ancient stories, why it rained/why the sun came up/why things fell - superstitious beliefs of miracles which then turned out to be explained by science.

I don't get why you say shut down god because lack of proof, isn't that a good reason to shut down a theory?

What I'm trying to say is that logic is not necessarily a constant that is a universal truth. Just becuase something is illogical, it doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't exist as logic itself is flawed. We cannot automatically assume that logic is the be all and end all of all things.

Which leads me to my point. Logic is the way to go for practical progress, immaterialism is for personal spiritual enlightenment. Religion, as a practical manifestation of faith in God, is hence entirely pointless.

It's an interesting question however. However logic can be extended so as to accomodate metaphysics. Logic is a way of determining what should happen, not necessarily what actually is happening.

Even if Christianity, Islam or Judaism are wrong it doesn't detract from the existence of a God per se, merely that an Abrahamic God is insufficient.

So yeah, keep the argument about God guys, not about religion.
