If you guys don't have free time, you will burn out very easily during the HSC.

If you are honestly having trouble finding 'you time' at this stage i think it might be a good idea to re-assess your study habits/general routine, you really shouldn't be that swamped.

While it's important to work hard to reach your goals this does not always mean going flat out 100% of the time, even if you're a very high achiever. The best students know that having time to yourself is often just as important for your studies as studying itself.

Yeah, if you have absolutely -no- free time, then you're putting your foot on the pedal a little bit too early.

umm well i still have a tiny bit of time but not that much.. i don't burn out easily.. i was studying heaps last yr and didn't burn out..
i guess its cause i bludge, and go to gym half the day on the weekends then spend the other half studying for upcoming exams.
i started school on thursday, and i've had quite a lot of homework given to me within those 2 days.
also, its week zero for my school and next week is week one, so technically i havent even started school :/

I guess I don't have that much free time, I used to come home and have all the free time til 12 because I never did my hwk. Now I feel guilty for even watching the news instead of studying.

Because studying the curriculum is very draining. I had to number all my science practical books. God help me in year 12, I have no idea how I am going to cope. I hope that you are doing this in your set out ten minute break from the recommended pattern of 50 minutes studying 10 minutes in break.

You're overdoing it.

Well, so far I have some free time. I have tutor (doing 6 hours of it today on Sunday), FML. Umm... So far the workload isn't too bad, I found time for exercise yesterday, where I exercised for an hour. I still socialise. I aim to keep a balance in year 11 so I don't burn out in year 12.

Um, yeah I still have a fair amount of free time. I went out yesterday and didn't come home till five or six. Had dinner and started my ext eng essay around 9:30-10. Admittedly, it took me ages to analyse it and I didn't get to sleep around midnight as I wanted to finish it before I fell asleep.

I still have to type up the essay and do some Modern stuff as well as read Othello. But not right now. I am too tired and I just couldn't be bothered. I'll do it this afternoon.

So, I guess I still have some free time. I have frees at school and do a little but in them, so that kinda helps.

Yeah, not overly swamped, just taking things as they come.

I definitely thought that year 11 had a larger work load than year 12, but I had enough free time to study, do very well, and still maintain my out of school commitments.
Really, in both my senior years, I only had NO free time around exam periods. :/

The HSC is a load of crap! Its not the end of the world if you dont even get it! You can always sit a uni entrance exam later on!

I have spare time atm because im doing my HSC at Tafe which doesnt start till the 8th of February! Plus im only doing 3 subjects this year and 3 subjects next year! Doing it this way equals double the units and gets you the same HSC that people who do it at High school get!

If you burning out so badly because of school then maybe this is an option to consider!
