Can someone help me please.

A and B have co-ordinates (-1,7) and (5, -2) respectively. P divides the interval AB in the ratio k:1. Write down the co-ordinates in terms of k and hence find AP:pB when P lies on the line 5x - 4y - 1 = 0

The division formula as you know is:



subbing in m=k and n=1 and A and B gives:



the question wants you to find k, so you all do now is sub P into the given line and solve for k.
