Discovery: The Motorcycle Diaries Related Texts (help!) (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

I'm really struggling to find a good related text for The Motorcycle Diaries. I've been using Into The Wild up until now but it feels overdone and generic.
I thought of using Eat Pray Love, as it's got physical, emotional, cultural and intellectual discovery and would be an easy analysis but it's a memoir and they say not to use the same text types as your prescribed text.

I've been thinking of using On The Road as a related text, but even there I'm not sure how well it works. If anyone has any suggestions or ideas at all, I'd be really grateful to hear them. Thanks!

I used the 100 Foot Journey (book) and The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (movie) as my two related texts. They linked in pretty well for such a weird/boring prescribed text (feel so sorry for you having to do it!!). Best of luck =)
