HEY GUYS,

I bought myself a digital camera the other week and got this really lame software bundle with it.

I was just wondering what you's would recommend. I need something to edit photos, play around with the images, etc.

I checked out the thread on the gimp or sumthing just then, but i didnt know whether that was useful for digital camera's.

Thanks!

Do you mean software to download photos from your digital camera? Or programs to edit your photos with?

A few you could try:

- Adobe Photoshop (not sure on trial length)
- Jasc Paint Shop Pro (30 day trial)
- Macromedia Fireworks (30 day triail)

Best bet is to get a trial and see if you like it before you go to purchase software that you may not like.

It doesn't really matter about what digital camera you have. As soon as you download the photos from your camera into your computer its an ordinary image file, then you can use any image/photo editing program to edit them.

GIMP is a popular graphics program because its free.

Also have a look at this site for editing photos:

On the left, there are several free programs designed for enhancing photos by things like skin smoothing and colour correction.

I like Paintshop Pro for it's ease of use. You can find a 30 day trial on jasc.com or something.

Goodluck.
