So, ive been looking at some different powders online, and the ones that are sourced from new zealand are more expensive than those from the US and Australia

Does anyone know if theres an actual difference or is protein just protein and it doesnt really matter of the purity/quality of it

Protein is protein. Unless you're getting into casein vs whey protein isolate. Casein is much slower digesting, so it's best to have it before bed/periods of not being able to eat for ages. Whey protein isolate is quickly absorbed so it's best first thing in the morning/straight after your workout (with a carb source, of course!)

Whole foods are best, so you're best to try and eat chicken/steak etc for meals and limit protein powder to pre/post workout and maybe first thing in the morning. There's another thread in the health/fitness section and there are a few good websites for cheap protein. I think the title is 'protein powder' or something similar.

The different prices are due to the rates of importing/exporting and the quality/ingredients of the protein. You know a protein is good is if it dissolve in the water good. l have tried different proteins before and know the shit ones leave lumps of protein in the water. Also different QUALITY proteins are out in the market. The more quality means it absorbs into your muscles more effectively. Just use 100% Gold Standard Whey isolate. Final mention...yes it does matter what protein you get.

get serving size divide by grams of protein in that serving size.
Preferably 90%+ is good protein.
