Hey everyone,

I just want to know, what is the difference between Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Surgery & Bachelor of Medicine/ Bachelor of Arts

What do you do in an arts degree and what kind of career paths are there from doing arts?

Thanks

Difference is that the MBBS/B Arts is a double degree.
That is, the workload is greater and it is definitely more demanding.

I'd say that those that do the Arts degree do it out of personal interest more than anything. There aren't really any increased career prospects from it.
However, a B Arts does allow one to study additional languages which could be beneficial in increasing one's prospective medical career.

Overall though, I'd be inclined to think that generally a MBBS/B Arts is a waste of time. In the end, you wouldn't do that degree to not become a doctor. And doctor's only use the MBBS degree. As I see it, it's just an increased amount of stress and an added year of study for not a significant amount of benefit.
