Where do you go atm?
hm... I prefer not to specify but my school is about ranked 180 or something... dunno about the ranking that much

And just on a curious note; I'm rather reluctant to move as above, but is it a bad idea to change schools because a subject you like gets cancelled? -not enough people btw and this is my current school

Usually when students move to selective schools in year 11, it's more for the competitive environment and 'better hsc results' thing. If its a subject that you need for university or you just genuinely want to do it, then perhaps going to the a selective school will be the way to go. However, if it's one of those subjects that you would dearly want, but you wont need it for the future, then you will be moving schools for the wrong reasons. I don't know :|

what selective school? :)

Uh I made it into Sydney Tech I mean I do have a passion in music and quite a bit down since it was cancelled at my school. But, its not something I would want to pursue in the future so its rather complicated imo ==

Ok well if that's the case, then you should probably stay (only for that matter alone). I'm also (and demento1) musically orientated, but I'm not doing it for years 11+12. Why? because, 1) I have no aspiration to do it in the later years,2) I don't like the idea of doing major works on top of 3) you dont need to do it for uni. Even if you want to pursue a career in it, you can still do it via AMEB grades. The conservatorium of music says that you don't need to do music 2, you are just as qualified if you have done 7th AMEB grade or something.

But if you still want to competitive environment and such, by all means, go! :p

yep :( are there any chances of me getting in?
You may have a chance and you shouldn't be disheartened as of yet. Perhaps some people from the school are intending to leave to other schools and hence, more positions for this school will occur. Don't quote me on this though.

Don't they tell you what reserve you are?

Tbh, I think that there won't be any more than 7-8 extra slots from students leaving - since the only places students leave to are Ruse/private schools/interstate/overseas. I'll ask my friend @ Baulko in the same grade as you (you might see him next year lol), and I'll get back to you on that.
