i agreed.
i did strictly ballroom and it fit perfectly

- abusement of power in SB reflects everyday political life
- realism of the toledo milk bar displays everyday migrant experience..
etc.

theres an endless list of images in strictly ballroom that make us think about important world issues

i seriously have no idea how u disagreed with it

I disagreed. I argued that Henry Lawson sometimes uses it to make you think about issues (The Drovers Wife), but often the point in engaging the reader was purely for entertainment (The Loaded Dog).

i seriously have no idea how u disagreed with it[/quote]

i used visual images like:
the red curtain at the begining is set to make u think its a fairytale and its expressionistic not about world issues

and

how liz is saying she wants ken railings to come in n say pam broke her leg n..etc. shows the jump cuts techniques. designed to break the naturalistic roles and remind u it is a story not peoples life. it is expressionistic.

i said that it depends on the image to whether or not it makes u think of world issues

I agreed with mine on Dialogue (Stolen - Jane Harrison).

Had to agree with it, as my related text literally talked about world issues.. (The 2008 USA Vice Presidential Debate).

..Yeah.

Poll?

I agreed. I think it would've been easier to agree with the question. Disagreeing is doable, yet it could limit you. Depends how awesome you are at English I guess. But agreeing would definitely be the easier way to go.

What would you say for the Loaded Dog though? You can definitely disagree by the way, just more often it is easier to agree. In this case, I don't think it was.

I disagreed.

Talked about how lawson rights for entertainment, and fiction stories that are purely plot based, and have minimal connection to life etc. cannot reflect significant issues. etc etc etc.

but yes, i would have rathered another question. :]

oh, and my related text was a film called "Big Fish", and I wrote about the exaggerated physical world not being a real reflection of life and blah blah blah. one of my friends wrote about how the question was ambigueous...or something like that, and how it was too hard to define what SIGNIFICANT world issues are.....or something along those lines...
