lol, i just guessed D, cause i only got 1 other D in the MC section so i thought there would be more Ds...

but i also thought 2XXX was more reasonable!!!

And guys, for the ph question, i used C1V1=C2V2

Ie, the concentration to begin with was 0.1 and the volume was 0.1 and the volume to end with was one litre... so you get the concentration, then neg log it, and u get 2.

Thats what i did anyway.

yeah i got 1.92..... so i just assumed 2.

What did you get for the neutralisation one?

pH increases by 1 for every factor of 10 in volume...
So it went from 100ml to 1000ml
pH 1 to pH 2...

In getting 1.92 you probably used 900mL as the new volume, but 900mL is added to the exisiting 100mL giving 1000mL in total.

the oysters were ridiculous. i got 60g of oysters all up, assumed that each oyster was 10g and went for C.

that said, it wasn't entirely bad...there were a few questions i sort-of knew (the most annoying, since it just won't come but it's tantalisingly on the edge of your memory) but managed to get a fair stab at and some fairly annoying ones, but mainly ok. does anyone else think 3 hours is too long?? i can't remember ever being so bored!!!

Hmm, what about the dry cell question in the multiple choice? Not very handy if you've studied the lead-acid cell.
I was certain the syllabus only requires you to know one of the two, and not one in particular. Ah well...
