Good luck everyone for tomorrow.

Mine isn't for another 2 weeks \o/.

Lwax i got a Q on a Q in the 2004 CSSA trial.

Question 9 of the MPA hardware company installed a new system to replace its old system which was fully manual. The owner decides to get half of his employees to use the new system and the other half to use the manual system until the new system is running efficiently. Which moethod of conversion has been described in the scenario?

Options:
a.Direct Conversion
b.Phased Conversion
c.Parallel Conversion
d.Pilot Conversion

Now I was EXTREMELY sure it was C, but the actual solutions say D.
why's that?

"Parallel Conversion"involves the old system and new system working TOGETHER for some time whilst the "Pilot Conversion" involves TRIALLING the new system in a local area before implementing the whole system.

In the passage, the owner decides to get "half of his employees to use the new system" while the "other half" uses the old, hence he is more likely to be trialling the new system in a local area first instead of trying to run them both together...
Therefore answer is D, Pilot Conversion

I had my trial yesterday, It was harder than I expected.

I studied the whole syllabus and I knew basically everything but thats not enough, you need to be able to apply the knowledge to the stupid questions they ask.

I believe we did the CSSA trial, it will be interesting to see how everyone else went :)

i found it to be almost ridiculously easy. I think i've answered it well enough to get 100% even... i mean, i wont get 100%, but there were no questions which i know i got wrong. It was quite a bit of writing. I did a little under 14.5 pages including diagrams but i'm almost certain i over answered questions.

Multiple choice is a joke. The say to allocate 40 minutes to it. I finished it in 15 minutes. I spent about 1 hour and 15 mins on the next section. I went a bit over because i was writing too much and then i spent an hour and 20 mins on the final section which left me about 10 mins to give a quick read over.

I'm surprised how easy it was. I did virtually no study for it. I probably spent about 30 mins last night and most of that was while watching the glass house and that funny show before it.

Oh, and i also think my class is full of retards. At least two people answered ALL of the questions, including the two options which we haven't studied in class. They must have done major rush jobs....

i must agree... i did notice that and it was a joke...

hmm... btw Lwaxana said that we can't talk about the CSSA trials until the security warning is over...

but... saying that 'i think i did well' doesn't hurt it... and also i hated that 1a(ii) question if the ppl who have done it know what i mean... i'm not saying nemore...

Rumours...

Has anyone else heard this rumour...?
A certain school in sydney who has their exams after the CSSA period, has leaked atleast the english paper2 and legal studies paper and now they have turned up on the net...
Is this just a rumour or does anyone know anything for real?? I'm a little freaked out if we have to sit our english exam again cuz that would really suck.
Other than that, i think the trials havent been so bad... but chemistry tomorrow will probably change my mind!!
