yea after haddin had his turn, he has been waiting for too long not to have a go.

elsewhere, bollinger is putting his hand up for a spot as well. so i am guessing no.400 will be him or haddin. more likely to be haddin.

does anyone think chris rogers will get another test, ever? he did stuff up pretty bad, in 2 innings.

Australia probably doesn't need another seamer at the moment, seeing as Lee and Clark are in fantastic form and Johnson's slowly getting better, unless one of them is injured. Like you said, more likely to be Haddin for No. 400.

As for Rogers, it will probably largely depend on his form between now and when Hayden retires. If he continues to make runs consistently during that time period, he'll most likely get another call up.

harbajan singh escapes the racism row, simply because bcci has thrown its financial power around the bullied the icc and ca into submission. this is ridiculous. where is the justice system when one organisation can blatantly ignores the rules and goes about its own business as it wishes? first the umpires, now they can virtually escape with murder. icc must do something about this for the sake of the game - cricket is at the verge of doom, if not already.

err..... have you even seem the sledging by AUSSIES towards other teams? no one does jack shit about that do they? what about when murali plays and EVERY SINGLE aussie screams out "chucker". isn't THAT unfair? what about when glen mcgrath was asking one of the south african batsmen how Brian Lara's dick tasted like? or when Glen SPAT on Brian but was only fined.....

the whole system is crapped up, so stop complaining just because something so stupid doesn't go Aussies way because there's so much other shit that goes on in the game that no one even cares about. but hey when it involves australia it's a different story right????

re ^, was any of the examples you gave had anything remotely relevant to a racial slur? sledging is fine, i am all up for it. in fact, i think it is a part of the game that really makes cricket unique. i mean, which other sport can you stand around and sledge the life out of the opposition?

on the other hand - here is where it differs, buddy - singh makes a racist comment. he may not be a racist normally or he may be, who knows, but the bottom line is he said it and symonds and a few others heard it. even the stump mikes picked it up. micky procter charges him and bcci went berzerk, throwing all sorts of threats to the icc and ca. the latter parties yielded to the demands and the prosecutors were asked to just drop it. now, is that a simple case of aussies whinging or the indians trying to dismantle the game they love so much?

frankly, it is not the about the aussies. i refer once again to darren lehnman calling a sri lankan player a 'black cock' during one game. no one was around him, no one was offended by his remarks when he said it. but chnl 9 (aussie owned, if you don't know) threw it out there and lehnman copped the bans. he apologised unreservedly and no one spoke about it ever after. it is that simple, you own up to what you did and its all fine. but singh and bcci obviously aren't used to apologies.

regardless of what the offense was, the fact that the bcci has used purely it's financial power to get it's own way is worrying. had the bcci made an empassioned argument about how singh's actions were no different to the aussies then i'd disagree but think hey if they convince the judge of it then fair game. but instead of gonig through the proper channels the bcci essentially blackmailed cricket australia into dropping the charges. condoning blackmail, no matter the situation, cannot be good for the game.

no he doesnt, fuck off. did you hear hansens verdict? symonds said in the courtroom that there was no place for friendly gestures in international cricket (re: harbhajan singh patting lee on the back after an excellent yorker). thats enough for me to judge this guy as a total fucking dickhead. thats besides the point. so anyway, after bhajji taps lee on the back symonds basically says to him 'fuck off you have no friends here' (yes, hansen said there was an 'F' word [yes sky news broadcasted hansen saying 'fuck' lmao]). singh was either startled or provoked in the heat of the battle and replied with 'tere manki' which means fuck off in punjabi. they misunderstood it monkey. it's clear man

way to jump to conclusions wuddie, your team aren't angels.

Fucking racist little curry black fucks.

But seriously, they need to stop being such a bunch of sore losers lacking spines. We've had Lehmann and Symonds both done for racism. They took it on the chin. We had the world's greatest ever bowler suspended for a whole year for taking a non performance enchancing drug. He took it on the chin.

Imagine if Tendaulkar got suspended for a year. Imagine what could happen then. The ICB and the Indian team are a bunch of unsportsmanlike pieces of shit.

Australia and CA are a great example of how players (but probably not administration) should conduct themselves on and off the field.

Bias much?

Why bother saying "but seriously", when you continued to dribble shit? Maybe present an understanding of both sides next time, so we at least have the chance of taking anything you say as being serious.

Thnx. :D

That's true. Why even play professional sport if your not gonna play hard. Australia are the best team for a reason.

Justice Hansen for Wuddie said:
Key findings from Justice John Hansen's judgment of Andrew Symonds v Harbhajan Singh.

ON WHETHER HARBHAJAN CALLED SYMONDS A MONKEY
"I have not been persuaded to the necessary level required that the words were said. I am not sure they were."
ON SYMONDS' INTERVENTION AFTER HARBHAJAN HAD MADE CONTACT WITH BRETT LEE
"Mr Symonds appears to be saying that he finds it unacceptable that an opponent makes a gesture that recognises the skill of one of his own team-mates."
ON ICC ERROR PREVENTING HIM FROM GAINING A FULL VIEW OF HARBHAJAN'S DISCIPLINARY RECORD
"At the end of the day Mr Singh can feel himself fortunate that he has reaped the benefit of these database and human errors."
ON INDIAN THREATS TO ABANDON THE TOUR
"(India's legal advocate) Mr Vasha Manohar has assured me that that is not the position of the BCCI and it is no more than media speculation and exaggeration."

Real interesting, I suggest you read the article.

Are you referring to the Aussies, or the Indians? Because after reading what was said to instigate this, im a little confused.

You do know why this whole thing came about, right? Symonds initiated it from him taking offence to Singh patting Lee on the bum for bowling a good ball. Its something cricketer's do to compliment other cricketers, but when a non-aussie tries to do it, its outrageous! Um, yeah....thats fair.

Dont take it personally man, but you are a bit of a whinger.

What is there to 'understand' from the Indian perspective? You do something wrong, you take it on the fucking chin, no exceptions. You don't act like a spoilt brat and expect everything to go your way.

when in the history of the game have the aussies done something which is against the rules of the game and failed to admit to it? aussie cricketers sledge the most on the field, no question about it, but they do it within limits and never crossed the racial boundary. did the aussies whinge about it after the bodyline series? no.

symonds expressed his opinion in regard to friendly comments from an opposition - he doesn't like it. i don't agree with it but he is entitled to his opinion and if that's the way he feels, it's fine. but for singh to turn around and say something back completely irrelevant and racist? how much more should symonds take before telling the umpire? with singh's spectactular record in regard to racism on the field, it is little wonder why he reacted the way he did.

look, i can see where you are coming from, being a good sport and tolerate. maybe symonds is not the guy to be friendly with on the field. singh overreacted, maybe he regreted it after, but he didn't have the balls to admit and apologise, that's the difference.

i think we need to move on here. this saga is over and if god helps cricket, india won't threaten the game again.

harbhajan didnt fucken say monkey, he said teri maa ki, some hindi insult. thats not a level 3 offence, its a level 2 offence. if harbhajan gets in shit for swearing, then so should fucken symonds, and to a lesser extent, fucken brad hogg. yes, its true harbhajan should get a harsher penalty because of previous offences, but thats not up to me lolz.
