Hello All... :)

Could someone please help me with this q. I think it should be simple but i'm not getting it.

A regular hexagon ABCDEF has sides 5.5cm. Find Angle ADF...

I've already have worked out the length of AD is 11cm.

Thanks for your help in advance.

It's just a quarter of the size of a regular angle in a hexagon, i.e. a quarter of angle ABC.

To be fair it's not that obvious that it is, though it's easily provable using circle geometry.
Yeah ok, I suppose. I did a diagram, so it seemed like it was to me after what you said! Mmmm, don't know Circle Geometry unfortunately!!

BTW - Can you pick up MX1 in Yr 12 or not?

Unfortunately you probably won't be able to, though you can always try.

That's what I thought... There would probably be too much content to cover/catch up on??
Yep I think that would be the main reason they would use to tell you that you can't pick it up. I kind of agree, unless you are really talented in maths you will be too far behind.

Yeah ok... No I don't think I'm talented enough for that... And I would probably be better to do well in 2U than be so far behind and struggle to catch up.

Is it much different in terms of ATAR ranking?

If you do well in 2U you will be fine. I'm not sure of your ability, but if you get a band 6 that's equivalent to a 95+ ATAR.

Yeah I do quite well... (despite what you would think from this post!)... I believe I'd get a Band 6. BTW - What is the cut off for a Band 6 in this subject?

Well luckily for you, you don't actually need circle geo :p. Here's my working out:

(Sorry for the bad quality, scanner wasn't working so I just took a photo of it)

Thanks heaps. U don't like circle geo?! :D I don't know why but I did a bit on it at the end of Yr 10 but can't remember it...
Sorry, I don't know why I can't see your working, could you try inserting it with a different program??

No worries, don't u hate that?!
