High I was wondering what affect highly corrosive materials can have on your body during an experiment if in contact with various parts. e.g skin, eyes, mouth?

Acids corrode... bases rip protons out, dehydrating the skin...

strong bases pretty much dissolve organic tissue (turns them into soap - you'll learn this later in industrial chemistry. What happens when you add strong NaOH to pig fat? you get soap. Human skin and pig fat are pretty much the same stuff)
