Not free, but atleast be thankful you no longer have to fork out another $500+ for Union, SRC etcetera fees.

$680? Is that for one semester's worth of textbooks? Co-Op discount, no?
$680 was with the co-op discount, i dont know why mine were so expensive, everyone else ive talked to said their books were like 300 and they got them new.

Don't know about the prices, but it's running. It's on the level of Wentworth you enter on if you go in over the footbridge.

Last year it was super expensive to buy texts from them. Not sure how much they'd buy them from you for though

just found the website

they buy at 40%rrp, sell at 66%rrp + 10gst, so effectively like 72%rrp.

yeah paying $72 for a $100 book is poo if it's second-hand. you would pay about 50% of the RRP on textbookexchange, and thus you could get more if you sell it yourself on that site, too.

Hmm, MATH1001 and 1002 were $55 but that had three books. Probably somewhere between $20 - $30.

src bookshop is rubbish

textbookexchange requires some legwork and sometimes can come with a headache when dealing with dumb sellers/buyers but the saving is huge.

Im in 3rd yr and still dont have coop membership cos there is hardly any need to buy texts brand new
