Teacher gave us a take-home exam. I know I'm not meant to seek help but this question is weird as hell.

Helen is standing at a bus stop and can see a man on top of a building, The angle of elevation to the man is 46 degrees. She is wondering what he is doing and walks towards the building 13m. The new angle of elevation to the man is 55 degrees.

If Helen's eye-line is 1.5m from the ground, how tall is the building?

The first part I got. Now, what the hell is an eye-line?

That's what I drew so far, now I'm lost.

the eye-line is how far off helen's eyes are from the ground i.e helen's height. Your diagram looks correct, but now with that extra info, that helen's eyes are 1.5 higher than the ground, you can add an extra detail to the diagram yourself? ;)
the angle of elevation is seen from helen's eyes... so that means the 1.5 m is the height of helen from under the angle you've drawn...

ugh its late, and i dont think i explained that well, but good luck, im sure you can figure it our with whatever crap help ive tried to give you :) if not then ask again and ill draw it 4 u

ok, yea. I got it. Unfamiliar with this type of question really, to have another height under the triangle.

Something like this?
